Geneva Lake Shore Path

There are 21 miles of shoreline surrounding Geneva Lake. You'll find incredible estates on expansive lawns that are meticulously maintained.

Tourists can see these mansions up close from a 2-foot wide footpath that was originally used by the Potawatomi and is open to the public and accessible from any public park on the lake. The path, at times, is smooth and well maintained and at other times, is rough patches of grass and tree roots or even unstable rocks. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water and snacks.

To make the walk easier to navigate, pick up a copy of Walk, Talk and Gawk. It's a map and guide that breaks the path into 7 separate walks ranging from 2 to 3.5 miles. For each walk, points of interest, distance, path conditions, public access, and parking information are provided. Walk, Talk and Gawk is available at the Cornerstone Shoppe and a few hotels in Lake Geneva.
