Abbey Springs - PGA Junior League Golf

Abbey Springs is one of four local courses participating in the PGA Junior League Golf program this year. Their team will compete against Hawk's View, Delbrook, and Grand Geneva. Each team will consist of 10- 14 members and will feature a team-vs-team scramble format in a structured league setting that provides for a more popular, less stressful competition. The emphasis is on the fun, recreation, and sportsmanship of the game for players at any skill level. Every participant, between the ages of 8 and 13,  gets the chance to play.

Abbey Springs Golf Course is located within a community on the Southern shores of Geneva Lake in Fontana. It has a 4 ½ star rating from Golf Digest magazine and was designed by Ken Killian and Dick Nugent in 1970 and with the most recent redesign/renovation by Mike Schulz Golf Designs from 1988-2012.

The Golf Course has an average tee size of 2,000 sq ft, Average Green Size of 6,200 sq ft, 20 aces of Fairway, along with 45 acres of rough.  Water hazards are on 6 holes with a total of 25 sand bunkers throughout the course. They offer golf memberships, leagues for men, women and juniors. 

The Clubhouse has many wonderful casual and fine dining options from acclaimed Chef, Ben Janssen. There is also a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pool, and a wonderful tennis program.
