FREE Day at the Geneva Lake Museum

The Geneva Lake Museum in downtown Lake Geneva is having it's annual International Museum Day and Children's Art Festival on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 9:30am to 4pm.  Fun for the whole family!
Free admission and hot dogs, drinks and chips (while supplies last), Art exhibits from 19 schools. Tour the museum. Performances by the kids of Rock Central. Lakeland Animal Shelter adoptable pets.
Lake Geneva Fire Department. Bake sale and much more!
Step back in time on the brick pavement that recreates Main Street in Lake Geneva from the years 1870-1930. As you walk along "Main Street" you can see what the stores, schools and homes looked like and can walk inside to see their furniture, clothing, tools, machines, and more. From a 1917 red fire truck, a 1929 model A to a wigwam from 1831, the Geneva Lake Museum has it all.  Ring the bell on an old one room school house, firehouse and train. The children can do chores like the early settlers did, like washing clothes in a tub, and hanging them with a clothes pin. Also, see their new exhibit "Golden treasures of the glided age" featuring Pickard China. There is a gift shop, as well, with many books and artifacts from that time period.
