The 3K Fun Run/Walk with obstacles is on Satuday, August 17, 2019 and all money raised goes directly to the Turner Family, a family in need.
Waves of runners/walker begin every 15 minutes from 8am to noon, at Lions Field House in Williams Bay. Adults $20, 16 and under $15. Walk ups welcome.
About the Tuner Family:
I would like to invite you to come together as a community and join us in helping the Turner Family of Williams Bay, who as many of you know are bravely trusting God in a difficult time.
Friday night, February 1st Jon Turner thought he was sick with a cold so he left work to get checked out. Within a few hours, he was moved by ambulance to a hospital. Words like a blood clot, lesions on the stomach, low hemoglobin level, possible internal bleeding, all came spilling out to his wife Jasmin and family members. After many of the test results came back, they received the devastating news that Jon was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach and Liver Cancer. He also has numerous blood clots and internal bleeding. Jon and Jasmin have been blessed with seven children. They have four biological children and have lovingly adopted three more. The Turners also recently found out that Jon's sister has the same cancer and that it is hereditary. Their children have been tested and two of the boys have the gene.
We, Jace United, a Christian teen service organization out of Williams Bay are putting together a fun run entitled The Faith, Hope, and Love Challenge for Saturday, August 17th at Lion's Field in Williams Bay to help the Turners. It will be an untimed 3k run/walk released in waves with fun obstacles for most ages. All the info to sign up is attached and on our Facebook page (The Faith, Hope, and Love Challenge). Please like and share our page like crazy. You can also pick up and drop off sign-up sheets at the Williams Bay Rec Dept. If you can’t make the run but would like to donate, we ask that all checks be made out to Kunes Family Foundation, but mailed to Jace United. We would like to encourage you to get a group together to run with or volunteer to help at the run. We also welcome any sponsors for the run. All money raised is going to the Turner Family.
