Snow Mounds are built for the U S National Snow Sculpting Competition

The Snow mounds will be built on Monday and Tuesday, January 27th and 28th, for the 2020 US National Snowsculpting Competition. The event will take place in downtown Lake Geneva from January 29, 2020 - February 1, 2019. Each year top sculptors earn their spot in this national competition by winning their local qualifiers. Mounds of snow will be built on Monday and Tuesday before the competiton and the team will be scultping on Wednesday. The teams will work together over the next few days, and often throughout the nights, creating larger than life sculptures. The artists will have until 11am on Saturday, when the judges will call "Shovels down", to complete their sculpture.

The public is invited to cast their vote for their favorite while the judges will be deciding on their favorites as well. Winners for both People's and Judges choices will be awarded at 3:00pm.
