Geneva Lake Poker Run/Walk/Paddle

Join us for the 2nd Annual Victory Over Violence- Walk or Paddle to End Abuse Poker Run held on or along beautiful Lake Geneva on Sunday, August 24th, 2014. Registration from 7am to 9am.

Walk the shore path or take your kayak, paddleboard or canoe for a ride along the shore from Wesley Woods  250 Stam Street, Williams Bay (approximatley 3 m. round trip) as you collect a poker hand for prizes.  

The route begins at the Wesley Woods lakefront, follows the shore around Conference Point, around Williams Bay to Cedar Point, and then returns to Wesley Woods. Participants will stop at various checkpoints (piers) along the route to collect playing cards. Those on the water may cross from Cedar Point to Conference Point to return to Wesley Woods. Walkers will turn around at Cedar Point and return to Wesley Woods on the same path.

Participants will provide their own kayak, canoe or paddleboard. (Limited rentals available through Wesley Woods Conference Center, Fontana Paddleboard Co. or Clear Water Outdoor. Please contact them directly to arrange prior to event.) 

Coast Guard approved life vests are mandatory for all kayka, canoe and paddleboard participants. 

Homemade buffet breatfast follows walk/paddle.

Mandatory wiaver to be completed at time of registration . 

All proceeds go to support the mission of Association for the Prevention of Family Violence, local anti domestic and sexual abuse program.
