Yerkes Observatory is open for free public tours every Saturday throughout the year. Programs begin at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and Noon. The guided portion of the program begins at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 12:15 p.m. and last about forty-five minutes.
What to Do
Every year, Yerkes Observatory scientists and educators offer a variety of summer camps revolving around STEM topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Camps are available for 3rd-4th grades, 5th and 6th grades and 6th through 8th grades.
The Young Auditorium at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is it's largest performing arts venue. It's a state-of-the-art facility, with 1,300 seats and a 400 sq foot stage that hosts dozens of dance, music, theater, comedy, and university events each year.
